Chopper Twirls Wildly into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Beach
A chopper soaring near a crowded coastal shoreline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a line of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings shared on the internet capture the chopper beginning to twirl near the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palms and a steps adjacent to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were injured. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
